    University of Idaho’s campus offers a variety of outdoor recreation spaces that are open year-round to students, employees and the Moscow community. From organized sports and casual recreation to special events and scenic leisure, these spaces support active, outdoor lifestyles.

    Available facilities

    Select outdoor facilities are available to reserve through our Facility Reservation Request Form. Approval is based on availability, event impact and scheduling priority.

    Guy Wicks Field 
    A flexible natural grass complex featuring five softball fields, rugby and recreation soccer fields, and the varsity soccer field. Regularly used for intramural sports, club competitions, open recreation and Vandal Soccer matches.

    Pickleball and tennis courts 
    Located near the Administration Building, with two courts set up for pickleball play and two set up for tennis.

    Sand volleyball courts 
    Two sand courts are located adjacent to Wallace Residence Hall.

    Outdoor basketball courts 
    Two full outdoor courts near Wallace Residence Hall for pickup games and recreational play.

    Student Recreation Center (SRC) lawns
    Located just south of the SRC, these large green spaces are ideal for casual games like cornhole, spike ball and flying disc. A lively hub for student activities.

    Disc Golf Course
    A nine-hole course situated by the ICCU Arena and Kibbie Dome.

    U of I Golf Course
    Our 18-hole course offers a diverse playing experience — from open grasslands with generous par five fairways to tight, tree-lined holes known as “Heartbreak Ridge.” Open to the public with tee times available online.

    Requests must be submitted at least 21 days in advance. Approval depends on the scope of the event, weather and facility conditions and potential impacts to drop-in use.
