    Personal finance

    Personal finance programs offered through University of Idaho Extension are holistic. This means that in addition to teaching essential money management skills like budgeting, saving and credit building, we also help you keep an eye on the big picture of your overall wellbeing. Balancing financial skills with healthy habits, personal values and goals is our specialty.  

    Our programs feature innovative approaches based on educational theories and new technologies, and cover topics for youth, young adults, working adults and retirees. We look forward to sharing our expertise with you.

    Northwest Youth Financial Education

    This program is designed to increase financial literacy among youth and young adults through fun, interactive games that are easy for teachers and youth leaders to facilitate in their local areas.

    Night of the Living Debt only program for youth

    Night of the Living Debt

    Night of the Living Debt is our featured, award-winning program that has reached thousands of youth and adults. In this game, the financial system has been overtaken by financial zombies. To successfully navigate the game, you must master the skills of perfecting your in-game credit score. With skills that transfer directly over to the real world, this game has proven to be fun, engaging and effective for audiences of all ages. This program can be facilitated in group settings or played individually and comes with tools for instructor support.

    Holistic financial wellness

    When it comes to financial success, a balance of holistic wellness is the goal since it provides a much stronger foundation for success with money. This collection of bulletins, videos and podcasts explores ways to strengthen your financial health by improving your health in other areas of life.
