UI Extension, Clark County works in the areas of farm and ranch management, marketing, farm succession and estate planning, beef cattle production, crop production, range and pasture management, and small acreage management.
Clark County is known for its alfalfa forage production, with an annual harvest covering 21,500 acres and averaging 5.35 tons to the acre. Clark County is also home to 9,000 head of cattle and calves. Several counties in southeast Idaho ship their cattle to Clark County to summer on its rangeland.
