State teen association convention
The Idaho 4‑H State Teen Association Convention (STAC) is an opportunity for youth to experience college life, explore career opportunities and prepare for a lifetime of success with other Idaho teens. Held on the University of Idaho Moscow campus every year in late June, STAC provides both 4‑H and non-4‑H youth the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, including:
- Educational workshops
- Community and campus tours
- Service-learning projects
- State Teen Association elections
- On-campus living
- Discovering more about 4‑H and 4‑H opportunities
- Networking with peers from across the state

Registration fees
- 4‑H members:
- $335 (April 15-May 17)
- $395 (May 18-June 1)
- Non-4-H members:
- $395 (April 19-May 17)
- $435 (May 18-June 1)
- STAC steering committee members: $250 (April 19-May 17)
- Chaperones: $250 (April 19-June 1)
- Idaho 4-H State Teen Association officers: $250 (April 18-May 17)
Adult chaperones
Adults are welcome to apply to serve as chaperones for Idaho 4‑H State Teen Association Convention. Interested adults may review the adult chaperone position description (pdf). To apply, please complete the online chaperone application when it opens April 1.
College students may also attend as collegiate volunteers. Position descriptions and applications for collegiate staff are available in the STAC handbook (pdf).
Scholarships
Please contact your local UI Extension county office to learn how to apply for both county/district and state scholarships.
The Doris Roper (Youth Leadership Scholarships) and the John Thiessen (Adult Leadership Scholarships) applications are available to currently enrolled 4‑H members/volunteers through ZSuite.
