Idaho Design Build
Bring your designs to life
From conception to construction, as an architecture student in our design build program, you’ll work with real clients on real-world projects — like Hat Ranch Winery in Caldwell and the Neuman Forest Environmental Learning Pavilions in Troy.
In this dynamic, hands-on architecture program, you’ll learn what it takes to bring your designs to life — from the first sketch to the finished structure. You’ll also build an architecture portfolio that showcases designs that were actually built — by you.
We partner with nonprofits and local businesses to make a positive impact in Idaho’s communities. Every project reflects our land-grant mission to serve the state through creative, sustainable and practical design solutions.
Design build opportunities are offered through a six-credit upper-division and graduate-level studio and seminar courses integrated with the Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture programs.
Design-build transforms how students think about detail — and how they draw.
